Educate through Literacy

Support Our Book Drive

At Restoring Hope, we believe every child deserves to see themselves reflected in the stories they read while discovering books that inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. Access to diverse books that celebrate different cultures, experiences, and perspectives helps children strengthen literacy skills, expand their horizons, and feel seen and valued.

Many children and families in the communities we serve have limited access to books at home. Through our Book Drive, we're helping children in grades K–8 build personal libraries with high-quality, culturally responsive books that encourage imagination, learning, and meaningful conversations.

You can make a lasting impact by selecting a book from our curated bookstore. Together with our community partners—including youth-serving organizations, Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs, Head Start programs, and elementary schools—we will place these books into the hands of children who will benefit most, helping foster a lifelong love of reading and learning.

Restoring Hope is proud to partner with organizations like Bethlehem Center, Inc., a National Mission Institution of The United Methodist Church located in Jackson, Mississippi. For generations, Bethlehem Center has served low-income children, families, and individuals by providing affordable, high-quality early childhood education, counseling services, free income tax assistance, and community development programs that strengthen families and neighborhoods.

Guided by its mission to provide academic, health, and community programs within a spiritual context, Bethlehem Center is committed to creating opportunities for every individual to thrive and become all they are called to be. Their holistic approach to serving children and families aligns closely with Restoring Hope's commitment to expanding access to literacy resources, diverse books, and educational opportunities.

Together, our partnership helps place meaningful books into the hands of children and families, ensuring young readers have access to stories that inspire, reflect their lived experiences, and foster a lifelong love of reading and learning.

Engage

Youth Empowerment Training Program

We are excited to invite young people to participate in our Youth Empowerment Training Program, designed to equip the next generation with the skills, confidence, and leadership abilities needed to succeed in school, work, and life.

Through interactive workshops, mentorship opportunities, and hands-on activities, participants will develop essential life skills such as communication, teamwork, goal setting, problem-solving, and community engagement. Our program encourages youth to discover their strengths, build positive relationships, and become active leaders in their communities.

At our nonprofit organization, we believe every young person has the potential to make a meaningful impact. This training provides a supportive environment where participants can learn, grow, and gain the tools needed to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Join us as we empower youth to create brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
